She was smoking in her late 80's
She was the greatest woman I've ever met
She was such a nice and beloved woman
So many friends came to see her when she got this sickness

When she was taken to a firework festival
She had see them in the car
But when they went up to the sky
They reflected on her beautiful, lovely gray eyes
Thousands of lights were shining like stars
So she said to herself,

It was when she was daydreaming about
The good things happened in the past of her life
She was fighting with these pains and grieves
Wondering how long this pain is gonna be there

When she was sleeping, she felt something cool
It smelled so right she knew what it was
She slowly opened her eyes that could hardly see
And she saw her granddaughter giving her a make-up
Then all of the pains were gone like a magic
So she said to herself,

There were hard times, there were good times
There are times that I still don't know whether it was
A good time, or a bad time
The only thing that I can tell is my life was full of love
'cause that's what makes me strong enough to live the world
So I said to myself,

80を過ぎても煙草を吸っていた
彼女みたいにワイルドな人は他にいませんでした
いろんな人に愛されて
病床にはたくさん友人が駆けつけたのです

そう、花火大会を見に行った時
体が言う事聞かず　車から見ざるを得なかったのです
それでも一旦花火が空高く上がると
花火は彼女のグレーの綺麗な瞳に反射して
何千という光が　星の如く輝きました
そして　彼女は言いました

ああ、これもそんなに悪くないね　 まあ　よしとしようか

それは彼女が　過去の楽しかった思い出に
浸っているときでした
同時に彼女は　その苦痛と戦っていました
この痛みはいつまで続くのか、と考えながら

疲れ果て眠っていると　なにかを感じました
その匂いで　それが何かがすぐにわかりました
ほとんど見えなくなった目を　ゆっくり開けると
孫が顔に化粧をしてくれていたのでした
それまでのあらゆる痛みが　嘘のように消え去りました
そして　彼女は言いました

ああ、これもそんなに悪くないね　まあ　よしとしようか

いい時もあった　悪いときもあった
よかったのか　わるかったのか　未だにわからない
時期もある　でもひとつ言えるのは
私の人生はとにかく愛情で満たされていたということ
だってそれがなければ　
私は今まで生き抜いてこれなかったから
だから私は言うのです
